Isabella Zabaneh, Miss Universe Belize 2025, has commissioned Filipino American accessories designer Maria Victoria Mejia to create a custom minaudière for Zabaneh’s February 2027 wedding.

Zabaneh visited Mejia’s showroom, Posh & Gems, in downtown Los Angeles while in the city for the California Bridal & Wedding Expo. The event was held Sept. 20 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

Mejia is the founder and creative director of Viktorya Minaudière, a Los Angeles accessories label known for sculptural evening bags and bridal pieces. The brand says its designs incorporate mother-of-pearl, metalwork and handcrafted details.

A minaudière is a small, hard-sided evening bag, often designed as a decorative statement accessory. Zabaneh’s custom piece will be developed to complement her wedding gown and overall bridal look, according to the designer’s announcement.

“Preparing for a wedding is such an intimate journey, and I wanted a bridal accessory that was not just beautiful, but truly meaningful — a piece of wearable art,” Zabaneh said in a statement.

Zabaneh won the Miss Universe Belize title in June 2025 and represented Belize at the Miss Universe pageant in Thailand later that year.

Mejia said the custom commission will reflect Zabaneh’s personal story while highlighting Filipino craftsmanship.

“We are deeply honored to welcome Bella to our showroom and design this bespoke piece for her wedding,” Mejia said in a statement.

The designer said Filipino artisans will handcraft the minaudière with custom motifs and ethically sourced materials. The full design will remain private until Zabaneh’s wedding in February 2027.
