Comedian Jo Koy is extending his global reach with a world tour that includes a one-night-only stop at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas this September, bringing his signature Filipino American storytelling back to a city that has become a key stop on his rise. The Las Vegas date follows a history-making moment in March, when he headlined the first sold-out comedy show at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles alongside fellow stand-up star Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias.

Jo, born Joseph Glenn Herbert, has spent the past several years cementing his status as one of the most successful stand-up comics of his generation, selling out arenas across North America, Europe and beyond. He recently filmed a new stand-up special in Stockton, California, slated to premiere on Netflix later this year, further expanding his global audience. His comedy, often drawn from Filipino family life and immigrant experiences, has helped bring Filipino American humor into the mainstream while resonating with multicultural audiences.

Offstage, Jo has remained a visible presence in Filipino and Filipino American cultural events. He threw out the ceremonial first pitch for Filipino Heritage Night at Dodger Stadium, an evening that combined baseball with cultural performances and community celebration. He is also joining the voice cast of the upcoming DreamWorks animated comedy-adventure “Forgotten Island,” which features an ensemble that includes H.E.R., Liza Soberano, Lea Salonga, Manny Jacinto and others. The film, scheduled for release in late September 2026, adds another dimension to his work in film and television.

In 2019, The Outstanding Filipino Awards honored Jo with a National Award for Excellence in Entertainment at its ninth annual ceremony at Carnegie Hall in New York. Because he was on tour and unable to attend, his mother, Josie Harrison, accepted the award on his behalf and co-emceed the evening with TV personality Janelle So. As Jo returns to Las Vegas with a world tour, a new Netflix special and a Hollywood voice role on the horizon, he does so as both a history-making arena comic and a TOFA-recognized trailblazer for Filipino representation in comedy and entertainment.
