The concert will feature music, comedy and a tribute to overseas Filipino workers.

Filipino actor and singer Piolo Pascual will pay tribute to overseas Filipino workers Nov. 14 in what organizers describe as his first concert in Abu Dhabi, bringing music and comedy to Les Etoiles at the Sofitel Abu Dhabi Corniche Hotel.

Titled “Paano ba ang Magmahal?” or “How Does One Love?,” the concert is presented by Majore LiveX and Gather & Co in partnership with Les Etoiles.

Organizers said the evening is dedicated to the UAE’s Filipino community, particularly workers and families maintaining relationships across borders.

“This is more than just a show — it’s a celebration of fun on-screen memories and emotion-filled music,” the producers said in a joint statement.

A career spanning film, television and music

Pascual has worked in Philippine entertainment for more than three decades as an actor, recording artist, television host and producer. He gained prominence through the television drama “Esperanza” and went on to star in films including “Dekada ’70,” “Milan” and “Starting Over Again.”

His portrayal of Jules in “Dekada ’70,” a drama about a family living under martial law, earned him supporting actor honors from the FAMAS, Gawad Urian and other Philippine award-giving bodies. He expanded into recording with his debut album, “Piolo,” in 2003.

The Abu Dhabi engagement brings the actor’s music career to the forefront in what producers describe as an intimate concert setting.

Comedy and supporting performances

UAE-based comedian Imah Dumagay is scheduled to open the show. The announced lineup also includes singer Ann Thornquist and the duo Bokals Vocals.

Organizers said VIP and Gold ticket holders will be eligible for a promotion advertised as a chance to “win a date” with Pascual. The media kit does not specify the format of the encounter or the promotion’s selection rules.

Tickets start at 99 UAE dirhams. Published ticket categories also include Gold at 249 dirhams and VIP at 399 dirhams, with the VIP package advertised as including a meet-and-greet.

Ticket information is available through TicketBloc, which lists the Nov. 14 concert at Les Etoiles. Additional updates are available on the Majore LiveX Facebook page.

Piolo Pascual was honored at The Outstanding Filipino Awards (TOFA) 2024 in Hawaii, while Imah Dumagay was among the TOFA100 recipients last year in Las Vegas.
