Multimedia personality MJ Racadio has released his autobiography, “Breaking Barriers: The Legacy of MJ Racadio,” chronicling his rise as a prominent voice for representation in Hollywood.
Racadio, a Los Angeles-based podcaster, publicist and entertainment reporter, is best known as the host and producer of “BlogTalk with MJ Racadio,” a long-running platform featuring celebrity interviews and stories centered on Filipino American creatives. Widely regarded as a pioneer in the space, he is believed to be among the first Filipinos in the United States to launch a showbiz-focused podcast.
His new book documents his journey from aspiring media professional to “Hollywood insider,” detailing key milestones across podcasting, public relations and digital content creation. It also reflects on his mission to amplify Filipino voices in mainstream entertainment and create opportunities for underrepresented talent.
Beyond his podcast, Racadio is the founder of Social Dragon PR, a firm specializing in branding, media relations and talent development. Through his work, he has helped elevate emerging artists while strengthening visibility in film, television and music.
Racadio is also known for launching in 2014 his signature annual list of the “75 Most Influential Filipino Americans,” which recognizes leaders and changemakers across industries. The initiative has become a notable platform celebrating Filipino excellence and community impact nationwide.
In addition, he maintains a media partnership with Good News Pilipinas, where he contributes as a columnist for its digital magazine. His column highlights milestones, achievements and breakthrough moments of Filipino American creatives in Hollywood, further extending his advocacy through journalism and storytelling.
In 2020, he was named to the TOFA100, receiving a Media Award from The Outstanding Filipino Awards for his pioneering contributions to podcasting and his role in advancing representation in the industry.
