The Amerika Prestige Awards will return for its 10th edition Nov. 7, recognizing community leaders, entrepreneurs, public servants, artists, advocates and professionals whose work has made an impact in their fields and communities.
The event will be held at the Church of Scientology of the Valley Auditorium in North Hollywood. It marks a milestone for founder and producer Sam Azurel, whose awards program has become a recurring venue for recognizing achievement in leadership, innovation, service and community involvement.
The organization’s program has drawn honorees from a range of professional and civic backgrounds. Past awardees have included business leaders, nonprofit advocates, media personalities, entertainers, public servants and entrepreneurs, including figures whose work has resonated in California’s Filipino American community.
The awards have also created a gathering place for people working in different parts of public life. Entrepreneurs and business owners share the program with people involved in charitable causes, local advocacy, media, entertainment and civic engagement. The Nov. 7 event follows the organization’s ninth edition, held in Hollywood in May. That program recognized leaders and changemakers in public service, humanitarian work, entrepreneurship, the arts, media and other professional fields.
